Meet the Partners
Clayton Coffee, Co-Founder
Clayton grew up in Plano, Texas, and has called the DFW Metroplex home his entire life. With construction deeply rooted in his family, the industry has always been a natural fit. His father spent years as a superintendent, while his grandfather worked in remodeling, giving Clayton an early appreciation for the craftsmanship and work ethic that go into building and renovating a home.
After graduating from Prestonwood Christian Academy, Clayton attended the University of Oklahoma, where he studied Construction Management. He began his professional career working as a Project Manager for a commercial general contractor, overseeing projects including office buildings, smaller hotels, and other commercial developments.
After gaining several years of experience in commercial construction, Clayton transitioned into residential construction and spent approximately five years working for a custom home builder. During that time, he gained extensive experience managing the construction of high-end custom homes and working closely with homeowners throughout the building process.
Eventually, Clayton decided to take his experience and passion for construction and start his own company, Stone Gate Builders. Today, he enjoys working directly with clients, bringing their ideas to life, and guiding them through the process of creating a home that is uniquely theirs.
For Clayton, construction is more than simply building a house or completing a remodel. It is about building relationships, earning trust, and taking pride in delivering a finished product that clients can enjoy for years to come.
Zack Zambrana, Co-Founder
Zack Zambrana's passion for the building industry began early. Right out of high school, he worked for the City of Wylie's water department and went on to establish and operate his own fencing company before graduating college. These experiences laid the foundation for his strong work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit, and appreciation for quality craftsmanship.
Just days after graduating from Stephen F. Austin State University, Zack began his career with a home builder in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Over the next five years, he developed extensive experience in residential construction, gaining a deep understanding of the building process and the importance of an exceptional client experience.
With a shared passion for residential construction and entrepreneurship, Zack partnered with Clayton Coffee to establish Stone Gate Builders. Together, they are committed to delivering exceptional craftsmanship, thoughtful attention to detail, and lasting client relationships.
For Zack, his greatest motivation is his family. His wife, Mallory, and their son, George, inspire his dedication to building a successful company rooted in integrity, quality, and trust.
